YouTube and Twitter and...

Hello All -

Just wanted to give everyone an update of what we've been up to.  If you haven't already noticed, we have been adding some videos to YouTube and trying to get things going on that front.  We've basically got the MBI YouTube page complete.  Check it out -->  MyBigImagination

Also, we setup our Twitter page for everyone to follow.  Other than this, we have been very busy, working hard and trying to figure all the different things we need to be doing.  The next step is probably going to be a website rebuild that will focus more on what we are trying to do with YouTube and such.  Now where do we find time to do that?

Anyway, hope you are well and gearing up for a great holiday season.

Have fun,

Hello All -

I was able to go to the Obama rally today in Raleigh and it was a truly humbling experience! Hopefully, I will be able to get a copy of the full speech, but until then this will do. I found this on MSNBC and the part where he talks about sharing his PB & J in kindergarten is hilarious... Check it out!

"That One!"

Ok, so now I made my decisions on who I think can run this country. In thinking back, I made this descision a long time ago and voiced me opinion on this blog. Anyway, the point of the matter is that a lot of things have changes since I made the blog remark. The economy is in the crapper, wall street is going to have a gruesome Halloween, etc., etc. So tonight I decieded to watch the second presidential debate in Nashville, TN. Well, guess what, I am typing this from my Hotel room in Nashville. I am here on business for the next few days and thought what a great way to enjoy all of my free time.

Getting to the nitty gritty... after tonights debate I really thought hard about things I care about and the real needs of this country. They came to me as follow:

I care about:
My Wife
My Family
Our Financial Future
Our Home and Current Belongings
My Community

The Country Needs:
Changed Political Views
Changed Perceptions from other countries
Changed Economic Policies
Changed Insurance
Changed
Changed
Changed
Are you getting the picture.

Fixing and securing all the things that are wrong will take many-many years and unfortunately this does not add up to 1 term in presidency... It will take a minimum of 2 and more likely more. I very much doubt that John McCain will serve 2 terms. That would mean he would be president until he is 80! 80! Give me a break.

I am 100% backing Obama moving forward! I plan on starting to support him financially and with donating time to his cause. Any person who watched the same thing that I did tonight (second presidential debate) must realize how awful McCain was. The polls after the debate showed a staggering loss going to McCain. It is time to bring in the cattle and retire "My Friend!" You are not going to be president!

Sorry John,

Scosha NYC

Hello All -

So, I was checking out the new issue of Details Magazine this past weekend when I ran across this ring in the new Fall collection.  The ring is made by a company called Scosha and it was one of those "got to have" situations.  Anyway, I went ahead and ordered the ring and decided to call today and check up on my order.  The phone was answered by, of all people, Scosha (the owner) and I was totally impressed by the way I was treated.

Scosha was extremely nice and asked me questions about my experience so far.  It was a very pleasant conversation and I went away from it feeling like a respected customer.  The reason I decided to add this experience to my blog is because, in today's world, how often do you get this type of treatment?  Not very!  Now I doubt that the owner answers the phone all the time... but, even so, the way I was treated was spectacular!

As for the product, I have not received my ring yet, but I can tell you that their jewelry is cool and unusual.  Also, as I found out in my conversation with Scosha, the jewelry is "hand made"... very nice!  This is something I am definitely looking forward to getting.

The Dark Knight

Hello All -

Finally I was able to see "The Dark Knight" last night and I have to say it was absolutely unbelievable. First things first, I know their is a lot of buzz going around about how the late Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker is Oscar worthy. In my opinion, this is absolutely and without a doubt the most deserving performance I have ever seen! He made my skin crawl! I loved Javier Bardem in "No Country For Old Men" and he was scary character, but nothing holds a candle to the sadistic mind of the villain I witnessed last night... nothing!

As for the movie itself, it was fantastic! Everything from visual effects to the costumes were spot on. Every person who worked on this film should take a moment and reflect on the fact that they have just created a masterpiece.

Speaking of a masterpiece, as a writer and knowing how tough it is to get your vision on paper, this screenplay written by brothers Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan (also Director) is unbelievable. There is a lot of depth and hidden meanings in their words, which makes you want to go back and watch this movie again to find them all. Also, their is no wasted words... everything has a meaning!

I definitely recommend this movie as a MUST see at the theatre. We live in a time where the theatres are inundated with movies that, in my opinion, just don't make the cut. Consumers spend approximately $20 each (with a drink, popcorn, etc.) to go to a movie and be half entertained. This movie is definitely worth the money!

Trunk Monkey!

Hello -

So I was playing around on YouTube today and found this video. In my opinion, it is not as funny as the "The Badger," but funny all the same! Check out the "Trunk Monkey!"

The Badger

Hello Y'all-

For those of you not local to the Raleigh/Durham, NC area, there is a local automobile dealership group named Johnson. They had the creative team behind the "Caveman" and "Geico Gecco" come up with "The Badger" advertising campaign. I found a mix of a couple of the commercials on YouTube... They are hilarious!

Are the Brangelina Twins' Pics worth $15-20 Million?

Hello All-

Ok, so my wife showed me this article today regarding how the first pictures of the Brangelina Twins will be worth $15-20 Million! Is this a joke? Seriously, our country is in the midst of recession and a company, which has yet to be named, is offering Brangelina how much money? I wonder how many people this company has laid-off this year? To me this is rediculous... especially seeing that these kids will have millions of photos taken of them in their lives!

But, there is a positive here... Brad and Angelina are planning on giving this money to charity! This is an incredible act of selflessness, in my opinion. My hope is that they plan on keeping this donation, or a large percentage, in the hands of the U.S. Citizens who are struggling in these trying times. Either way, if they make this donation, it is a true testiment to their generosity and personal commitment of making the world a better place. My hat is tipped to them!

Also, one more thing, I remember a while back another set of celebrity twins being born and the family getting paid a big sum (no where near this amount) of money and the people kept the check. I will not say their names on this blog, but it sounds like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony! :-)

Have fun!

"Fortune & Fate" Synopsis

Hello World -

I thought it would be nice to add the movie script synopsis for "Fortune & Fate" to this blog. Tell me what you think! Is it intriguing?

FORTUNE & FATE
Written by: BrAdFeRd

This is the story of James Coleman. A brother and son who loses everything. A husband who creates a new life and hides his past. A grandfather giving a gift he swore never to relinquish. The mystery the gift possesses and the circumstances that come with its discovery.

Barack Obama

Hello All-

So, first off, I have always considered myself a Republican. I am not exactly sure why... maybe b/c my parents are Republican, maybe it's because most of my life there has been a Republican in office and/or maybe it's b/c my personal views lean more towards a Republican standpoint. That said, this will be the first time in my voting life that I am backing a Democrat!

Why am I on the Barack Obama bandwagon? Well, it basically comes down to the following things:

1) Leadership - I personally think Obama is a born leader and it shows. I read somewhere, but can't remember where so don't ask, that if you want to see how a person would run a business, then look at how they run their job search. I guess what that means to me is that Obama has run a clean and spectacular campaign. He has more money (coming from the right places), a stronger network and a GREAT plan. Also, he has stood behind what he has said. The only blimishes on his campaign were the Pastor Wright (?) problems and if I had to guess Wright was looking for publicity or was being paid by the oppositions (Clinton's, McCain or maybe the GOP?).

2) Youth - In comparison to McCain... Obama has this one tied up pretty well. I just feel he will relate to our generation better... enough said.

3) Experience - The big experience question is a good one and obviously McCain has more experience, but I don't think this is as big a deal as people make it out to be. Why? Because, any great leader (see #1) will surround himself with experienced advisors. With the VP and cabinet made up of the right individuals this is going to be a mute point! Maybe, this is why he is taking his time on the selection of his running mate?

4) Minority - FYI - Barack Obama is black (well, half black) and this is a great thing for the US. It is time for us all to move beyond race, ethnicity, etc. This will be a huge step for our country! One that needs to be made!

5) Public Speaker - Great public speaker! And he probably does very well in private negotiations b/c he thinks before he speaks and is clear in his objectives. I am in sales and understand the importance of being straight forward and respectful in terms of negotiations and also the importance of clarity. These things are very important for this position and should not be taken lightly. George W. Bush is a prime example of the opposite of this... It's not that George is stupid, he's actually very bright! He just comes across as a stublebum due to his lacking ability in the genre of #5.

6) Tainted - I feel that Obama has not been tainted by Washington lobbyist's. I feel that McCain has. In my opinion, all Presidential candidates have their best interest in mind to some degree. But, I would rather have someone in office who has his best interest followed by US Citizens than someone with their's, then oil companies, then import/export companies, then other elected officials, then US Citizens. Comprende?

7) Change - We need change! Our reputation in the world has seen better days and I feel that following up the current administration with one which will continue "business as usual" is a very bad idea. We need to heal these negative stereotypes! Changing is the first step.

So, that's my rant! If you have similar, opposite or a mixed opinion on this... tell me about it! I'd love to hear your opinion.

Have fun!

How bad I suck!

Hello All -

Well, I suck! I started this blog about a year ago and, other than a few rants, have done jack shit with it. So, my goal is to change all this... so, let's see how it goes. The "NEW" plan is to just talk about anything and everything that is on my mind. Most of my friends know that I have a pretty strong opinion about things and so let me apologize in advance for offending anyone... just remember it is just my opinion and truthfully... who am I?

Have fun!
